Simon Wannaz

Simon directs his very first animation film with some friends at the age of 12. With a passion for image, he later spends one year at the graphic design school Eracom, in Lausanne, where he gets acquainted with the fundamentals of art and image.

After that first experience, he spends the next 4 years at the multimedia designer school Emaf, in Fribourg. There, he studies conception and communication, exploring fields ranging from interactive to static, print to motion, drawings to CG images. He finally graduates in multimedia, getting the award for best student in his promotion.

He then goes on a training period at Electronlibre, where he develops interactive contents for Nespresso and the French-speaking Swiss television TSR.

But it is at Le Studio Production and Ramon & Pedro that Simon really gets to know the professional world of production and direction, working on the corporate identity of a new TV channel as well as on advertisements and promotion films for companies such as Canal+, Universal Music, Tissot or Cofidis.

Alternatively to those professional experiences, he works on personal projects such as short films, animation films or various graphic experiments. His daily work is made up of discoveries and experiments, creativity being his main motivation.

Enriched with those various experiences and meetings, he now works as a freelancer in the fields of motion graphic and film editing. With great sensitivity and savoir-faire about sound and image, he is keen to share his knowledge and vision of the world.
